The Transport Consotium of Bizkaia (CTB) informs that from 1 December the municipality of Larrabetzu will move from price zone 3 to 2.

This measure, approved by the General Assembly of Bizkaia and the Mobility Authority of Bizkaia, aims to advance towards the objective of providing the territory with adequate pricing integration.

Starting from tomorrow the MUGI card can be used for travelling on Metro Bilbao. The general Creditrans wallet rate will be applied.

For this purpose, the tender and processing of the corresponding contract has been carried out, and the development necessary to allow the interoperability of the MUGI card with Metro Bilbao has been performed.

El Consejo General del Consorcio de Transportes de Bizkaia (CTB) ha aprobado hoy de manera definitiva la modificación de la "Ordenanza Fiscal reguladora de las tasas por prestación del servicio de transporte público de viajeros a los usuarios de los títulos del Consorcio de Transportes de Bizkaia", que aplicará una reducción del 50% en las tarifas de títulos temporales de transporte y creditrans durante el último cuatrimestre de este año.

La modificación aprobada incorpora las ayudas directas al transporte público terrestre urbano e interurbano establecidas por el Gobierno español en el artículo 2 del Real Decreto-ley 11/2022 de 25 de junio para responder a las consecuencias de la guerra en Ucrania y, además, incluye una bonificación superior gracias al acuerdo entre las instituciones vascas. Un acuerdo por el que el Gobierno Vasco y la Diputación Foral de Bizkaia complementarán las ayudas para pasar del 30% de bonificación establecido por el Estado al 50% que se aplicará en Bizkaia.

Esta reducción estará en vigor desde el1 de septiembre y hasta el31 de diciembre, de manera que a partir del 1 de enero, las tarifas se abonarán al 100%. Y se aplicará en todos los títulos temporales del CTB, así como en los títulos creditrans y giza consorciado, pero no en el título ocasional, que queda fuera de este acuerdo.

Los servicios en los que se aplicará esta reducción de las tarifas son las líneas 1, 2 Y 3 de Metro Bilbao, el servicio de Bizkaibus en sus títulos Gazte, los servicios de autobús local de Sopela y Leioa y el servicio Bilbobus en sus títulos Gazte. Los títulos creditrans de los servicios que no están recogidos en este acuerdo (Bilbobus, Bizkaibus, Etxebarribus, Kbus ... ) deben ser aprobados por las correspondientes instituciones competentes.

Con el acuerdo adoptado por el Consejo General de CTB el 25 de agosto, la repercusión de la bonificación en las tarifas durante el periodo comprendido entre 1 de enero y el 31 de diciembre del 2022.

The Bizkaia Transport Consortium is developing the pilot project that allows passengers to use the Barik card on their mobile phones.

The complexity of the project and the innovative nature of this technology made it necessary to carry out a preliminary pilot project. Initially, it was aimed at users of the Gazte 70 and/or Gazte Oro cards, valid on the Metro, Bizkaibus, Euskotren, Bilbao tramway, Lejoan Busa, Larreineta Funicular railway, and Sopelbus services.

From 30 November, this group will also be able to use their travelcard to travel on the Metro, Bizkaibus, Euskotren, Bilbao tramway, Lejoan Busa, Larreineta Funicular railway, Sopelbus, Bilbobus, Artxanda Funicular railway, Kbus, Etxebarri Bus, Erandio Bus, and the Ereaga panoramic lift.

The pilot test will allow conclusions to be drawn in terms of extending the use of Barik Mobile to the rest of the passengers who will be able to enjoy all the benefits and discounts of the Barik card using only their phone.

The conditions for registration are:

• To be a Gazte user of the Barik System (under 26 years of age and registered as a resident in Bizkaia) and to travel regularly using the Gazte 70 and/or Gazte Oro cards.
• A mobile phone with NFC technology and Android 8.0 Operating System or higher.
• To apply to participate in the pilot. The CTB will approve your participation after verifying that you meet the conditions.
